God's Working Hand

It's amazing when you can watch God work in peoples lives right before your eyes. Over the last several weeks there has been this family staying in our home with us a few night a week. They have no place to call home. The dad has been without a job for almost a year and the mom has decided that she doesn't really want to be a parent anymore. The couple is no longer together. The dad would love to have his kids full time however the place in witch he stays does not allow him to have his kids with him. He so desperately wants to remove his kids from the situation in which they are living in with the mom.

Two months ago the dad nor the kids could of  told you about God and they used God's name in bad ways and never though anything about it. One Sunday they were pushed out of the place they were staying and they needed a place to go. We told them they are welcome to stay with us anytime however the requirement was that they come to church with us on Sundays. That Sunday was a life changing day for the dad and his two older children. The kids could tell us what they learned in Sunday school, thereafter every time they come to our home they come in excited to tell me a new verse that they have learned from the bible. They have started going to kids night at our church. The most touching thing happened last night. The kids came to our home because their mom forgot to go get them from school and an hour and half we received a call that no one showed up to get the kids. They were at their grandpas house however they are not welcomed there. So I got their dad and went to go them. (There dad is unable to drive so his only transportation is walking). Later last night I was down stairs to wash their clothes so they had something clean to wear to school since their mom would not come get them or bring them clean clothes. The oldest child came down and asked me if he could pray tonight at dinner. I couldn't believe it. Just two months ago they would have never talked about God. God is so amazing. At dinner time the two oldest kids were fighting over whom got to say prayer. These to kids are so ready for God to come into their hearts and the oldest is seeking it. I just ask for prayer for this family that God continues to work in their hearts and that God will help the dad get a job so that the he can do what is best for his kids and remove them from that home they are living in. I also pray that the mom will wake up and realize what she is doing to her kids. When the kids cry because once again mom didn't show up or mom left them at home alone you know it is bad. These kids desperately need God in their lives.

I am just so thankful and in awe of what God is doing in their lives. The things that happen to this kids makes me want to cry but I know that God is working in there hearts. I know that God put us in their lives for a reason and I am so thankful that God has used us to lead this family to him.

I take in You
You are my way, Jesus
Every breath I take
I breathe in You

100th Post....Nothing Is Impossible with God

Nothing is Impossible with God when you believe.

After 1 year and 7 months and 100 posts later my infertility life has not changed much as we are still awaiting the day we will hold a child in our arms forever.

However over this time my faith and relationship with God has grown in huge ways.

Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock and fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I love this movie as it makes me feel like I am not alone. This is one of my favorite clips from the movie Facing the Giants but I feel exactly like this man. One of the things he tells God is so be it if you don't want me to have children. Later when his wife comes out he ask her if the Lord never  gives us children will you still love him. I have thought long and hard about that statement since the first time I watched this movie and it has been something weighing on my heart over the last year. A month ago I asked God to take all of my burdens away and he did. I have never felt so amazing. However it was so hard to really give all of my burdens to him. As I have so desperately wanted a child of my own to hold in my arms forever. It has been a long hard 4 year journey but I can honestly tell Jesus Yes I will still love you.

God even  tho there are times that I don't think I am strong enough to make it through this journey I will never give up on you. I know that you are always with me and will never leave my side. At times I will tell myself this is not going to work before I even start it however I need to give it a chance because it could be the answer to our prayers.

God I know  there is time of hurt and need and it is so hard sometimes to make it through those times. I understand that you having a prefect timing with things that happen in our lives even tho it sometimes is so hard to see. God you are truly amazing and I will continue to pray daily as I have seen with my own eyes that miracles do happen and prayers are answered. God I will wait for the day and God my fields are prepared as I wait for the rain.

God I will go as far as you need me to no matter how hard it is going to be. When things are wonderful and dreams are coming true. I will praise you and when things gets hard and I can not pick myself up off of the ground I will praise you.

God I'm going to give you my very best.  God when I ready to quit push me to go further No matter what. I want to give you the best of me.

Lastly one of my new favorite songs....

29 Ways in 29 Days Cont.....

Be the hands and hearts of Jesus during the month of Feb. Our local radio station is hosting this and I thought I would pass it on to others as I think it is something easy and simple to remind us of the good things in this world.

Here is today's......
February 9 - Pay it Forward - Like the Positive Life Radio Drive Thru Difference.

Drive Thru Difference-Our radio station does this every couple of months where over a two day stretch they encourage you to pay for the persons order behind you. Some people stay to watch the persons reaction, others just leave and some leave a note for the next person. I have done this before and it is so fun today and I will always remember the look of the ladies face at the window when I asked her how much the persons order is behind me because I would like to pay for their order to make a difference in someones life.

29 Ways In 29 Days

29 Ways in 29 Days

The Bible says that Jesus went around doing good while He was on this earth. As His followers, we can do the same. During the month of February my local christian radio station has been encouraging people to be the hands and heart of Jesus by taking part in the 29 Ways in 29 Days.
Each day I'll be posting a new way you can show Jesus to others in your community. It’s easy. Your kindness doesn’t have to include large amounts of money or extraordinary talents—just a few simple actions to show people you care. I'm inviting you to join. Example of things you can do is making handmade Valentine’s cards, visiting someone in the hospital, surprising your coworkers with a tasty treat, and doing someone’s chore without telling them. Some acts of kindness, such as smiling and saying hello, are so simple we can do them year round. The impact can be profound. Saying hello is an acknowledgment of existence that affirms the worth of another person.
So here Is what has happened so far....its not to late to get started.
February 4 - Pray for your neighbors and get to know them better.
February 3 - Instead of saying hi on facebook, pick up the phone and talk to them. No texting!
February2 - Take a flower bouquet and/or note to brigthen someones day.
February 1 - Take a moment to reflect, open yourself to God's leading.

A Year Ago Today

A year ago today I was starting my first dose of Famara. Last year my hope was that this would be my last treatment and that our long awaited miracle would be on its way. I prayed for days that this was the answer to our prayers we had waited so long for. The treatment ended with bad news and it did not  work out.  I hoped and prayed that next year would bring me different news. Now a year later......

Today I receive my 4th injection of Lupron Depo only 2 more to go. During the last 4 months we have not been able to try and we have another 3 to go before we can officially start going. Tomorrow I have an u/s to check if the medication is working. The hope is that there are no cysts. There is also concern as I have been having abdominal pain with the last 2 injections. However I have been lucky in a way. They were sure that I was going to have to do hormone therapy along with the injections to manage the side effects. However, I have been able to complete the last 3 injections with no side effects. It kinda worries me that something is wrong since I'm suppose to have side effects. I am beyond happy that I only have 2 more to go because it bring me hope of the future that in 3 short months we can continue to attempt to build our family. Plus the price of the medication as tripled since the last injection.

I continue to pray to God that he will continue to give me the strength I need for the hope of tomorrow and faith for the future. I will be praying that next year will bring new hopes and dreams. I am praying that my faith with God will continue to grow.

One of favorite movies is facing the giants as it reminds me of what faith can do. One question that the husband asks is wife is "If God does not give us a child we you still love him?." It is a very heart breaking question because I believe that God has called me to care for the orphans of the world.

In the last year my faith has grow with God beyond more than I ever of dreamed of. If you know me the things that I hate worst of all is reading and writing. In the last year I have read more books then I have since I finished school. The current books I'm starting to read is "The Strength of Mercy" by Jan Beazely and "The One Year Bible."

It's amazing how much our lives can change in one year.
